Ciri-ciri Comparative Sentence:

• Menggunakan kata sambung (conjunction) “than” (daripada).
• Menggunakan akhiran (suffix) -er pada kata sifat yang digunakan untuk membandingkan.
• Menggunakan kata intensifier “more” sebelum kata sifat yang berarti “lebih”.

Format kalimat Comparative Sentence:

Subject + Verb or to be (is/am/are/was/were) + Adjective + er + than + noun

Contoh: John is taller than Jack.

Superlative Sentence adalah kalimat yang menyatakan sesuatu yang paling menonjol di antara sekian banyak pilihan.

Ciri-ciri Superlative Sentence:

• Di awali dengan kata "the" untuk menjelaskan sesuatu hal/benda yang paling menonjol.
• Menggunakan suffix (akhiran) -est diakhir kata sifat yang berarti “paling”.

Format kalimat Superlative Sentence:

Subject + to be (is/am/are./was/were) + the + Adjective + est + noun

Contoh: Randy is the tallest in the class.

  Lion is the scariest animal in the jungle.

Subject + to be (is/am/are/was/were) + the + most + Adjective + noun

Contoh: Andi is the most handsome boy in the class.

               Budi is the most fluent in speaking English.
